Biography
A Representative from Nebraska; born in Omaha, Douglas County, Nebr., August 13, 1903; attended the public schools, and was graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1925; engaged in the investment business in 1926; member of the Omaha Board of Education 1939-1942; elected as a Republican to the Seventy-eighth, Seventy-ninth, and Eightieth Congresses (January 3, 1943-January 3, 1949); unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1948 to the Eighty-first Congress; elected to the Eighty-second Congress (January 3, 1951-January 3, 1953); was not a candidate for renomination in 1952; resumed former business pursuits; was a resident of Omaha, Nebr., until his death there on April 30, 1964; interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.Courtesy of Biographical Directory of the United States Congress
