Representative from Missouri; born in Springfield, Greene County, Mo., August 11, 1955; attended University of Missouri, Columbia, Mo., 1973-1976; graduated from the Missouri Auction School, 1979; Certified Auctioneers Institute, Indiana University, Bloomington, Ind., 1983; owner auctioneer business, 1979-2011; radio personality; elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Twelfth and to the five succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2011-January 3, 2023); was not a candidate for reelection to the One Hundred Eighteenth Congress in 2022, but was an unsuccessful candidate for nomination to the United States Senate; commissioner, Internal Revenue Service, 2025.
