Lee High School, Columbus, Miss., 1972; B.S., Troy University, Troy, Ala., 1979; M.S., Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Ga., 1984; United States Air Force, 1973-1999; business owner; corporate executive; elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Twelfth and to the six succeeding Congresses until his resignation on January 21, 2024 (January 3, 2011-January 21, 2024); president, Youngstown State University, Youngstown, Ohio, 2024-present.
