Biography

A Representative from Ohio; born in Monongahela, Washington County, Pa., December 3, 1958; graduated from Ringgold High School, Monongahela, Pa., 1976; B.S., Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Indiana, Pa., 1980; business owner; member of the Wadsworth, Ohio, board of zoning appeals, 1994-1995; Wadsworth, Ohio, city council president, 1999-2003; mayor of Wadsworth, Ohio, 2004-2008; elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Twelfth and to the three succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2011-January 3, 2019); was not a candidate for reelection to the House of Representatives in 2018, but was an unsuccessful candidate for election to the United States Senate; unsuccessful candidate for nomination for Governor of Ohio in 2022.
