Bradford High School, Kenosha, Wis., 1982; B.A., University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wis., 1986; businessman; member of the Dane County, Wis., board of supervisors, 1991-1996; member of the Wisconsin state assembly, 1999-2013; elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Thirteenth and to the six succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2013-present).
