Representative from Pennsylvania; born in Wiesbaden, Germany, June 7, 1957; B.A., American University, Washington, D.C., 1978; J.D., George Washington University, 1982; lawyer, private practice; solicitor, Allentown, Pa., 2015-2018; elected simultaneously as a Democrat to the One Hundred Fifteenth and the One Hundred Sixteenth Congresses, by special election, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of United States Representative Charles W. Dent, and reelected to the two succeeding Congresses (November 6, 2018-January 3, 2025); unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the One Hundred Nineteenth Congress in 2024; chair, Committee on Ethics (One Hundred Seventeenth Congress).
