A Representative from Mississippi; born on February 4, 1970; graduated from Brandon High School, Brandon, Miss.; B.S., Mississippi State University, Starkville, Miss., 1993; J.D., University of Mississippi, Oxford, Miss., 1995; Madison and Rankin County, Miss., assistant district attorney, 1994-2008; Madison and Rankin County, Miss., district attorney, 2008-2019; elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Sixteenth and to the two succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2019-present); one of the managers appointed by the House of Representatives in 2024 to conduct the impeachment proceedings of Alejandro N. Mayorkas, United States Secretary of Homeland Security.
