Representative from Nebraska; born in St. Paul, Howard County, Nebr., February 20, 1963; graduated St. Paul High School; B.A., Midland Lutheran College, Fremont, Nebr., 1985; J.D., South Texas College of Law, Houston, 1989; admitted to the Nebraska bar, 1992; vice president, COMREP, Inc; marketing director, Connecticut Mutual Insurance Co.; insurance executive; formed Aquila Group, Inc; elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Fourth and One Hundred Fifth Congresses (January 3, 1995-January 3, 1999); was not a candidate for reelection to the One Hundred Sixth Congress but was an unsuccessful candidate for nomination as Governor of Nebraska.
