Biography

Representative from Kentucky; born near Lebanon, Marion County, Ky., February 13, 1813; pursued academic studies; attended St. Mary's College, St. Mary, Ky.; studied law; was admitted to the bar in 1837 and commenced practice in Lebanon, Ky.; member of the State house of representatives in 1839; elected as a Whig to the Thirty-third Congress (March 4, 1853-March 3, 1855); resumed the practice of law in Lebanon, Ky., where he died January 5, 1892; interment in St. Augustine's Cemetery.
