Representative from New York; born near New City, Rockland County, N.Y., February 18, 1796; justice of the peace; elected as a Democrat to the Thirty-second Congress (March 4, 1851-March 3, 1853); died in Nyack, Rockland County, N.Y., November 25, 1859; interment in Oak Hill Cemetery.
