H.R. 755 IS A BILL MAKING ARMY APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE YEAR 1837 THE AMENDMENT AS AMENDED PROVIDES $11,650 FOR PAYING THE RIFLE RANGERS, CRUSADE VOLUNTEERS, AND THE INDEPENDENCE BLUES, $100,000 ADDITIONAL FOR ARMING AND EQUIPPING THE U.S. MILITIA, $100,000 FOR PAYMENT TO THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT FOR SERVICES OF HER MILITIA DURING THE LATE WAR, AND $30,000 TO NORTH CAROLINA FOR THE SERVICES OF HER MILITIA IN THE LATE WAR.
