Description: TO AGREE TO THE SENATE AMENDMENT AS AMENDED TO H.R. 692, WHICH AMENDMENT PROVIDES FOR THE OCCUPATION OF TERRITORY CEDED BY MEXICO IN THE TREATY OF FEB. 2, 1848; THAT $200,000 BE APPROPRIATED TO MAINTAIN THIS ACT IN SAID TERRITORY; AND THAT UNTIL CONGRESS PROVIDE FOR A NEW GOVERNMENT IN SAID TERRITORY, PRESENT LAWS SHALL REMAIN IN FORCE.
