Description: TO CONCUR IN THE SENATE AMENDMENT TO BILL H.R. 15140, (40 STAT 1161, FEB. 25, 1919), MAKING APPROPRIATIONS TO SUPPLY DEFICIENCIES IN APPROPRIATIONS FOR, WHICH AMENDMENT READS AS FOLLOWS: IN MAKING APPROPRIATIONS TO CLERICAL AND OTHER POSITIONS IN EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENTS AND INDEPENDENT GOVERNMENT ESTABLISHMENTS, PREFERENCES SHALL BE GIVEN TO HONORABLY DISCHARGED SOLDIERS, SAILORS, MARINES AND WIDOWS OF SUCH IF THEY ARE QUALIFIED TO HOLD SUCH POSITIONS.
