Description: TO AGREE TO CONFERENCE REPORT ON S. 3458, A BILL PROVIDING FOR DOMESTIC FOOD ASSISTANCE.

Bill summary: (LATEST SUMMARY) Authorizes the Secretary of Agriculture until July 1, 1975, to expend funds available for the encouragement of exportation and domestic consumption of agricultural products to maintain the level of assistance required by domestic food assistance programs, including supplemental feeding programs, disaster relief, and summer camps for children. Allows the Secretary to use the funds of the Commodity Credit Corporation for such purposes, if the stocks of that Corporation are (...show more) not available. Provides funding for carrying out such purposes. Authorizes the Secretary to purchase seafood commodities and their products. Authorizes, under the Food Stamp Act, the Secretary to pay each State agency 50 percent of costs in administering the Food Stamp Program. Grants the Secretary power to request reports by States on the effectiveness of the administration of the Food Stamp Program. Establishes, under the Child Nutrition Act, a five-cent minimum rate of reimbursement for each half-pint of milk served in the special milk program, such rate to be adjusted annually.
