Description: TO CONSIDER SENATE AMENDMENT TO H.R. 9524, EXTENDING THE EMERGENCY PETROLEUM ALLOCATION ACT OF 1973. THE SENATE AMENDMENT EXTENDS THE ACT FOR 45 DAYS. THE PRESIDENT WILL INSTITUTE NO MAJOR CHANGES IN PETROLEUM PRICING POLICY DURING THIS TIME.

Bill summary: (Measure passed Senate, amended, roll call #421 (75-5)) Emergency Petroleum Allocation Act - Extends the provisions of the Emergency Petroleum Allocation Act of 1973 through November 15, 1975. States the intent of the Congress that the regulations promulgated under such Act shall be effective between August 31, 1975, and the date of enactment of this Act, and that the President shall institute no major change in petroleum pricing policy prior to November 1, 1975. Provides that any Senate resolution to disapprove a Presidential decontrol proposal shall be immediately placed upon the Senate legislative calendar.
