Bill summary: (Conference report filed in Senate, S. Rept. 95-235) Amends the John F. Kennedy Center Act to authorize appropriations of $4,700,000 for certain repairs to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Stipulates that no funds authorized shall be expended under an incentive type contract. Provides that funds authorized shall be expended only under a contract awarded after advertising and competitive bidding. Requires that the Board of Trustees approve any contract entered into to carry out such repairs. Authorizes the appropriation of $4,000,000 for the non-performing arts functions of the Kennedy Center in fiscal year l978.
