Bill summary: (Reported to House from the Committee on Merchant Marine and Fisheries with amendment, H. Rept. 95-325 (Part I)) Amends the Marine Protection, Research, and Sanctuaries Act of 1972 to extend through fiscal year 1978 the authorization of appropriations necessary to carry out the purposes of the Act with respect to (1) the regulation of and research pertaining to ocean dumping, and (2) the acquisition, development, and operation of marine sanctuaries. Prohibits the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, after December 31, 1981, from issuing or renewing any permit which authorizes the dumping of sewage sludge in ocean waters.
