Description: TO CONCUR IN SENATE AMENDMENT #2 TO H. J. RES. 622. AMENDMENT #2 PROHIBITS THE USE OF THE SUPPLEMENTAL HEW FUNDS FOR ABORTION EXCEPT WHEN THE MOTHER'S LIFE WOULD BE ENDANGERED IF THE FETUS WERE CARRIED TO TERM, WHEN SEVERE AND LONG-LASTING PHYSICAL HEALTH DAMAGE WOULD RESULT TO THE MOTHER AS "DETERMINED BY TWO PHYSICIANS" AND FOR CERTAIN MEDICAL PROCEDURES TO TREAT VICTIMS OF RAPE OR INCEST THAT HAVE REPORTED THE INCIDENT PROMPTLY TO A LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY OR A HEALTH SERVICE AGENCY.

Res. 929 )) Makes continuing appropriations for programs and projects provided for in the District of Columbia Appropriation Act. Provides continuing appropriations for the Departments of Labor and Health, Education, and Welfare. Specifies that none of the funds provided shall be used for abortions except: (1) where the life of the mother would be endangered if the fetus were carried to term; (2) for medical (...show more) procedures necessary for the victims of rape or incest when such crime has been reported promptly to a law enforcement agency or public health service; or (3) in those instances where severe and long-lasting physical health damage to the mother would result if the pregnancy were carried to term when so determined by two physicians.
