Description: TO PASS H.R. 5981, THE BILL EXTENDING THE AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE AMERICAN FOLKLIFE CENTER AND ITS PROGRAMS.

Rept. 95-865) Amends the American Folklife Preservation Act to authorize appropriations for fiscal years 1979, 1980, and 1981. Stipulates that a Presidential appointee to the Board of Trustees for the American Folklife Center be entitled to serve only during the time such appointee remains an official with a department or agency related to folklife concerns.
