Bill summary: (Reported to House from the Committee on Post Office and Civil Service with amendment, H. Rept. 95-911) Provides that the regularly scheduled work week of each Federal firefighter shall be an average of 56 hours per week, computed on the basis of a period of 21 consecutive days. States that in lieu of premium pay provided for by present law, such firefighters shall be entitled to 25 percent of so much of their annual rate of basic pay as does not exceed the minimum rate of basic pay for GS-10.

Bill titles: A bill to amend title 5, United States Code, to improve the basic workweek of firefighting personnel of executive agencies.
