Description: TO APPROVE H R 3622 JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF REORGANIZATION, A BILL THAT STREAMLINES THE CHANNELS THROUGH WHICH ADVICE IS GIVEN TO THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH FROM THE JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF. THE BILL INCREASES THE TERM OF THE CHAIRMAN OF THE JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF TO 4 YEARS, CREATES A NEW POSITION CALLED THE DEPUTY CHAIRMAN WHO IS THE SECOND RANKING MILITARY OFFICER, AND ALLOWS THE CHAIRMAN TO ADVISE THE PRESIDENT INDEPENDENTLY OF THE OTHER CHIEFS OF STAFF.
