Description: TO PASS A RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE TREATY BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES AND THE CHICKASAW INDIANS, CONCLUDED IN THE CITY OF WASHINGTON, MAY 24, 1834, WITH SUPPLEMENTARY ARTICLES THERETO, EXCEPTING THE THIRD IN THESE WORDS: "THE CHICKASAW NATION DESIRES TO CLOSE ALL BUSINESS ON EAST SIDE OF MISSISSIPPI THAT THEIR GREAT FATHER MAY BE NO LONGER TROUBLED WITH THEIR COMPLAINT, AND THEY ASK THE GOVERNMENT TO RECEIVE FROM THEM A TRACT OF LAND OF FOUR SQUARE MILES AT $1.25 PER ACRE.
