Description: TO ADVISE AND CONSENT TO AN AMENDMENT IN NATURE OF A SUBSTITUTE FOR THE TREATY BETWEEN THE U.S. AND THE MIAMI INDIANS, OF OCT. 23, 1834 (PROVIDED THAT THE TRIBES SHALL IN GENERAL COUNCIL AGREE TO SIGN SAME); SUBSTITUTE PROPOSES TO RATIFY SAID TREATY WITH THE MIAMI INDIANS, FIXES THE CEDING OF LANDS TO THE U.S. AND THE PAYMENT FOR SAME, AND GRANTS TO CERTAIN INDIANS PATENTS IN FEE SIMPLE FOR LAND GRANTED THEM BY FORMER TREATIES.
