L. 446), PROPOSING TO THE STATE OF TEXAS THE ESTABLISHMENT OF HER NORTHERN AND WESTERN BOUNDARIES, THE RELINQUISHMENT OF ALL THE TERRITORY CLAIMED BY HER EXTERIOR TO SAID BOUNDARIES AND OF ALL HER CLAIMS AGAINST THE U.S. WHICH AMENDMENT PROVIDES THAT NO CITIZEN OF THE U.S. SHALL BE DEPRIVED OF LIFE, LIBERTY OR PROPERTY IN SAID TERRITORY, EXCEPT BY JUDGMENT OF HIS PEERS ON THE LAND.
