Description: TO AGREE TO AN AMENDMENT TO H.R. 4185, (22-STAT-L-68), A BILL MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR CURRENT AND CONTINGENT EXPENSES OF THE INDIAN DEPARTMENT, AND FOR FULFILLING TREATY STIPULATIONS WITH VARIOUS INDIAN TRIBES, FOR YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 1883, BY AUTHORIZING THE SECRETARY OF THE INTERIOR TO PROVIDE FOR CARE AND EDUCATION OF ALL INDIAN CHILDREN LIVING WEST OF THE MISSISSIPPI AND NOT BELONGING TO THE FIVE CIVILIZED TRIBES IN THE INDIAN TERRITORY AT A COST NOT EXCEEDING $200 PER YEAR PER CHILD, AND APPROPRIATING $250,000 FOR THIS PURPOSE.
