THE EAGLETON AMENDMENT REPEALS A SCHEDULED REDUCTION IN THE WINDFALL PROFITS TAX ON NEWLY DISCOVERED OIL AND PUTS THE ADDITIONAL REVENUES IN AN EMERGENCY RESERVE FUND FOR SOCIAL SECURITY.
