THE HOUSE AMENDMENTS SET THE ANNUAL AUTHORIZATIONS AT $44,000 FOR FISCAL YEARS 1982 THROUGH 1984. THE GORTON AMENDMENT WITHDRAWS CERTAIN PUBLIC LANDS IN THE MOUNT BAKER-SNOQUALMIE NATIONAL FOREST IN THE STATE OF WASHINGTON FOR MINING AND MINERAL LEASING. (MOTION PASSED)
