Description: TO TABLE THE RIEGLE AMENDMENT TO H.R. 6685, A BILL PROVIDING URGENT SUOPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1982 FOR THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. THIS BILL CONTAINED ONLY THE MOST URGENTLY NEEDED FUNDS FOR AGENCIES WHOSE APPROPRIATIONS WOULD LIKELY RUN OUT WHILE CONGRESS WAS ON RECESS. THE BILL ALS INCLUDES THE $3,000 TAX DEDUCTIONS FOR MEMBERS OF CONGRESS. THE RIEGLE AMENDMENT PROVIDES FOR MORTAGE INTEREST REDUCTION PAYMENTS. (MOTION PASSED)
