THE KENNEDY AMENDMENT PROVIDES TO THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR A SUM EQUAL TO 5 PERCENT OF THE LATEST ESTIMATED COST TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNEMENT OF UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION FOR THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR, TO REMAIN AVAILABLE UNTIL DECEMBER 31, 1982. THE NICKLES AMENDMENT AMENDS THE DAVIS-BACON ACT BY TRANSLATING INTO LAW CERTAIN REGULATORY CHANGES PROPOSED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR BUT BLOCKED BY COURT ORDER. (MOTION PASSED) SEE NOTE(S) 41
