THE AMENDMENT WOULD STRIKE TITLE II OF THE BILL, WHICH WOULD PROVIDE $100 MILLION IN MILITARY AND NON-MILITARY ASSISTANCE FOR NICARAGUAN "CONTRA" GUERRILAS AND $300 MILLION IN ECONOMIC AID TO COSTA RICA, EL SALVADOR, GUATEMALA, AND HONDURAS AND TITLE III WHICH WOULD REIMBURSE THE PL 480 "FOOD FOR PEACE" ACCOUNT FOR NEARLY $300 MILLION DIVERTED TO FOUR CENTRAL AMERICAN COUNTRIES FOR ECONOMIC AID.
