Description: TO TABLE THE BYRD, WV)AMENDMENT TO HR 5052, THE MILITARY CONSTRUCTION CONSTRUCTION APPROPRIATIONS BILL, WHICH WOULD PROVIDE THAT, IN ORDER TO PROMOTE PEACEFUL RESOLUTIONS TO THE PROBLEMS OF CENTRAL AMERICA PRIMARILY THROUGH DIPLOMATIC MEANS, FUNDS AVAILABLE TO THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE, THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE, THE CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY, OR ANY OTHER AGENCY OR ENTITY OF THE UNITED STATES MAY BE OBLIGATED OR EXPENDED TO PROVIDE FUNDS, MATERIEL, OR OTHER ASSISTANCE TO THE NICARAGUAN DEMOCRATIC RESISTANCE TO SUPPORT MILITARY OR PARAMILITARY OPERATIONS IN NICARAGUA ONLY IF SPECIFICALLY AUTHORIZED BY LAW.
