Description: TO ADOPT AN APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE AMENDMENT TO HR 5175, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA APPROPRIATIONS BILL. THE AMENDMENT WOULD REPLACE LANGUAGE IN THE BILL THAT PROHIBITED ANY FEDERAL OR DISTRICT FUNDS FROM BEING USED FOR ABORTIONS, EXCEPT IN CASES ENDANGERING THE LIFE OF THE MOTHER WITH LANGUAGE WHICH WOULD PROHIBIT FEDERAL FUNDS FROM BEING SPENT ON ABORTIONS, EXCEPT WHEN THE LIFE OF THE MOTHER WOULD BE ENDANGERED IF THE FETUS WERE CARRIED TO TERM, OR IN CASES OF RAPE AND INCEST.
