Bill summary: Approves the leadership of the President in pursuing the passage of specified United Nations Security Council resolutions which call for: (1) the immediate, complete, and unconditional withdrawal of Iraqi forces from Kuwait; (2) the restoration of Kuwait's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity; (3) the release and safe passage of foreign nationals held hostage by Iraq; (4) the imposition of economic sanctions against Iraq; and (5) the maintenance of international peace and (...show more) security in the Persian Gulf region. Supports continued action by the President to deter Iraqi aggression and to protect American lives and interests in the region. Calls on all nations to strengthen the enforcement of the United Nations imposed sanctions against Iraq and to provide assistance for those adversely affected by such sanctions and to refugees fleeing Kuwait and Iraq.
