Description: TO CONCUR IN A SENATE AMENDMENT TO H.R. 334 (14 STAT 209, 7/23/1866), AN ACT TO FIX THE NUMBER OF JUSTICES ON THE U.S. SUPREME COURT, AND TO CHANGE CERTAIN JUDICIAL CIRCUITS. THE SENATE AMENDMENT PROVIDES THAT THE SUPREME COURT SHALL CONSIST OF A CHIEF JUSTICE AND SIX ASSOCIATES, 4 OF WHOM SHALL CONSTITUTE A QUORUM, AND THE AMENDMENT ALSO MAKES CERTAIN PROVISIONS RELATING TO CIRCUIT COURTS.
