THE SENATE AMENDMENT PROVIDES FOR THE APPROPRIATION OF $33,804 FOR CLERKS AND $8,640 FOR MESSENGERS IN THE SENATE "TO SUPPLY A DEFICIENCY IN CONTINGENT EXPENSES".
