ORIGINAL BILL PROVIDES FOR PROCURING AND MAINTAINING SUFFICIENT GOLD RESERVE TO REDEEM UNITED STATES TREASURY NOTES, SECRETARY OF THE TREASURY TO BE AUTHORIZED TO ISSUE AND SELL AT PAR UNITED STATES BONDS IN $20.00, $50.00 AND MULTIPLE SUMS PAYABLE AFTER FIFTY YEARS @3% INTEREST; THAT REDEEMED TREASURY NOTES SHALL BE CANCELLED, ETC.
