Description: TO PASS H.R. 6635, A BILL TO AMEND THE SOCIAL SECURITY ACT. THE BILL, IN PART, EXTENDS AND LIBERALIZES SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS TO WIDOWS, CHILDREN AND DEPENDENT PARENTS, LOWERS THE OLD-AGE INSURANCE, TAX PAID BY WORKERS AND EMPLOYERS FROM 1.33 PER CENT OF INCOME TO 1 PERCENT, AND INCREASES OLD-AGE INSURANCE FROM $30 TO $40 PER MONTH.
