THE MAJOR CHANGES INCORPORATED INTO H.R. 3325 BY THE SENATE WERE THE STRIKING OF THE PROVISION WHICH CONTINUED THE POWER OF THE PRESIDENT TO DEVALUE THE DOLLAR, AND THE ADDITION OF PROVISIONS WHICH (1) INCREASED THE PRICE OF DOMESTIC SILVER AND (2) BANNED FURTHER PURCHASES OF FOREIGN SILVER.
