Description: TO AGREE TO THE CONFERENCE REPORT ON S. 1796, THE CONFERENCE REPORT CHANGES THE ORIGINAL HOUSE BILL, AMONG OTHER WAYS, BY LIMITING THE BOND EXPENDITURES OF T.V.A. TO $61.5 MILLION, INSTEAD OF TO $100 MILLION, BY DETERMINING SPECIFICALLY THE USES TO WHICH SUCH BONDS MAY BE PUT (I.E.: NO MORE THAN $46 MILLION IS TO BE SPENT ON PURCHASING LOCAL POWER COMPANIES IN THE TENNESSEE VALLEY AREA), BY PROVIDING THAT T.V.A. BONDS BE GUARANTEED BY THE U.S. GOV'T, RATHER THAN BY T.V.A. ITSELF; BY REMOVING LIMITS CONCERNING THE GEOGRAPHICAL AREA IN WHICH T.V.A. MAY OPERATE.
