Description: TO PASS H.R. 4861, PROVIDING FOR THE PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF PISCATAWAY PARK IN MARYLAND.

Bill summary: (LATEST SUMMARY) Redefines the boundaries of the lands known as Piscataway Park in Prince Georges and Charles Counties, Maryland. Directs the Secretary of Interior to acquire title to such lands. Instructs the Secretary to allow for the orderly termination of present operations on property acquired under this Act and, to implement a development plan which will assure public access to, and public use and enjoyment of, such lands. Authorizes the Secretary to accept donations of scenic easements in lands within designated areas. Authorizes the appropriation of up to $10,557,000 from the Land and Water Conservation Fund to carry out the purposes of this Act.
