Bill summary: (LATEST SUMMARY) Authorizes appropriations of $150,000,000, $200,000,000, and $250,000,000 for fiscal years 1975-1977, respectively for the nutrition program for the aged under title VII of the Older American Act. Revises the Older Americans Act of 1965 by prohibiting the Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare from approving any delegation of the functions of the Commissioner on Aging to any other officer not directly responsible to the Commissioner. Authorizes the Commissioner to make (...show more) grants to the States for the purpose of paying up to 75 percent of the costs of meeting the transportation needs of older persons. Authorizes the appropriation of $35,000,000 for fiscal year 1975 to make such grants. Revises the Domestic Volunteer Service Act of 1973 by setting forth requirements with respect to the establishment of local share contributions for the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Revises the Older Americans Act of 1965 by requiring the Secretary of Agriculture, in donating commodities pursuant to this Act, to maintain an annually programmed level of assistance of not less than 10 cents per meal, adjusted annually to reflect inflationary changes.
