Description: TO AGREE TO THE SENATE AMENDMENT TO THE HOUSE AMENDMENT TO H.R. 16900, MAKING SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS FOR FISCAL 1975. THE HOUSE AMENDMENT PROVIDES THAT NONE OF THE FUNDS APPROPRIATED UNDER THE BILL SHALL BE USED TO COMPEL ANY SCHOOL SYSTEM, AS A CONDITION FOR RECEIVING FEDERAL MONEY, TO CLASSIFY STUDENTS OR TEACHERS BY RACE, RELIGION OR SEX, OR TO ASSIGN STUDENTS OR TEACHERS TO SCHOOLS OR CLASSES FOR REASONS OF RACE, SEX, RELIGION OR NATIONAL ORIGIN. THE SENATE AMENDMENT ADDS THE WORDS: EXCEPT AS MAY BE REQUIRED TO ENFORCE NONDISCRIMINATION PROVISIONS OF FEDERAL LAW.
