Bill summary: (Measure laid on table in House, S. 409 passed in lieu) Council on Wage and Price Stability Act Amendments - Authorizes the Council on Wage and Price Stability, under the Council on Wage and Price Stability Act, to require periodic reports and to issue subpenas for the attendance and testimony of witnesses and the production of information relating to wages, prices, costs, profits, and exports by product line. Limits such subpena power to entitities with gross revenues excess of $5,000,000. Grants the Council authority to intervene in rulemaking, ratemaking, licensing, and other proceedings in order to present its views as to the inflationary impact which might possibly result from such proceedings. Extends the life of the Council to September 30, 1977, and authorizes appropriations of $1,700,000 per fiscal year.
