Description: TO PASS H.R. 12226, TO AMEND FURTHER THE PEACE CORPS ACT PROVIDING AN AUTHORIZATION FOR THE PEACE CORPS FOR FISCAL YEAR 1977.

Amends the Peace Corps Act to authorize the appropriation of sums not in excess $81,000,000 for fiscal year 1977. Authorizes additional appropriations of $1,000,000 for increases in salary, pay, retirement, and other benefits for fisacl year 1976 and the transition period through September 30, 1976, and of necessary sums for fiscal year 1977.
Makes $10,100,000 of the fiscal year 1977 appropriations available only for readjustment
