ITS DIRECTOR AN UNDERSECRETARY LEVEL POSITION WOULD BE APPOINTED BY THE PRESIDENT AND CONFIRMED BY THE SENATE. THIS AMENDMENT NULLIFIES THE NATIONAL DRUG ENFORCEMENT POLICY BOARD.
