Description: TO AGREE TO A RESOLUTION PROVIDING THAT THE SENATE ADVISE AND CONSENT TO THE RATIFICATION OF THE CONVENTION BETWEEN THE U.S. AND THE CHEROKEE NATION OF INDIANS, CONCLUDED AT WASHINGTON MAY 6, 1828, PROVIDED, NEVERTHELESS, THAT THE SAID CONVENTION SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED, AS TO EXTEND TO THE NORTHERN BOUNDARY OF THE "PREPETUAL OUTLET WEST", AND SAID CONVENTION SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED TO CEDE OR ASSIGN TO THE CHEROKEES ANY LANDS HERETOFORE CEDED OR ASSIGNED TO ANY TRIBE OR TRIBES OF INDIANS BY ANY TREATY NOW EXISTING, OR IN FORCE WITH ANY SUCH TRIBE OR TRIBES.
