Description: TO CONCUR IN THE AMENDMENT TO THE BILL S. 92 (APP. JUNE 12, 1842), FOR THE DISCONTINUANCE OF THE OFFICE OF SURVEYOR GENERAL IN THE SEVERAL DISTRICTS, AS SOON AS THE SURVEYS THEREIN CAN BE COMPLETED, FOR ABOLISHING LAND OFFICES UNDER CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES, AND TO ABOLISH THE OFFICE OF SOLICITOR OF THE GENERAL LAND OFFICE, BY ELIMINATING THE CLAUSE; THAT IT SHALL BE LAWFUL FOR THE SEC. OF THE TREASURY TO CONSOLIDATE ANY TWO OR MORE DISTRICTS, AND ABOLISH ANY LAND OFFICE THAT MAY BECOME USELESS IN CONSEQUENCE OF SUCH CONSOLIDATION.
