Description: ON PASSAGE OF H.J.RES. 70 (12 STAT. 251, APP. 3-2-61), QUITTING TITLES TO LANDS IN THE STATE OF IOWA, PROVIDING THAT ALL TITLE WHICH THE U.S. STILL RETAIN IN THE TRACTS OF LAND ALONG THE DES MOINES RIVER, ABOVE THE RACCOON FORK IN THE STATE OF IOWA HERETOFORE CERTIFIED IMPROPERLY BY THE DEPT. OF THE INTERIOR AS PART OF THE GRANT-ACT OF CONGRESS AUG. 8, 1846, AND WHICH IS NOW HELD BY BONA-FIDE PURCHASERS UNDER THE STATE OF IOWA BE AND SAME HEREBY IS RELINQUISHED TO THE STATE OF IOWA.
