Description: TO CONCUR IN AMENDMENTS MADE IN COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE TO H. R. 545 (24 STAT L. 5), A BILL INCREASING PENSIONS OF WIDOWS AND DEPENDENT CHILDREN. THE AMENDMENTS ELIMINATE THE PRACTICE OF USING STATE ADJUTANT GENERALS OR ANY OTHER AGENTS TO SERVE AS PENSION AGENTS FOR SOLDIERS OR EXSOLDIERS; INCREASE WIDOWS' PENSIONS BY FOUR DOLLARS A MONTH FOR EACH CHILD UNDER 18, AND PROVIDE FOR CONTINUANCE OF PENSIONS TO INSANE, IDIOTIC, OR OTHERWISE HELPLESS MINORS.
