Bill summary: (LATEST SUMMARY) Authorizes the appropriation for the Peace Corps of not in excess of $1,000,000 for fiscal year 1975 for increases in salary, pay, retirement, or other employee benefits authorized by law. Authorizes the Director of ACTION to transfer to the readjustment allowance, ACTION, account at the Treasury Department from any sums appropriated to carry out the purposes of this Act in fiscal year 1975 not to exceed $315,000 to rectify the imbalance in the Peace Corps readjustment (...show more) allowance account for the period March 1, 1961, to February 28, 1973. Authorizes the Director of ACTION to waive claims resulting from erroneous payments of readjustment allowances to Peace Corps Volunteers who terminated their volunteer service between March 1, 1961, and February 28, 1973.
